About Us

Amberlea Tennis Club is a small friendly club situated in Shadybrook Park, Pickering. Our goal is to promote the sport of tennis. We welcome players of all levels and abilities.

What We Offer

We offer organized leagues for social/non competitive players as well as competitive players. Amberlea is home to the Durham B League champions 2018, 2019 & 2024 and the C League champions 2019.

We serve our community as well as our members. Our After School Drop In encourages youth to try tennis. St Mary's High School tennis team practices on our courts. We offer volunteer opportunities. The Club executive works with our local politicians and city staff to keep the park and courts safe and in the optimal condition.

Our 3 court, outdoor facility and practice court is owned by the City of Pickering and managed by the Amberlea Tennis Club. The new 3rd court is lined for both pickleball and tennis. We share the 3rd court with Pickering Pickleball Club Inc. Amberlea Tennis Club is an incorporated non-profit organization run by volunteers.

Volunteers Needed!
Volunteers are the backbone of our club. We offer high school volunteer opportunities; membership or ability to play tennis not required. Volunteering with Amberlea Tennis is a great way to contribute to the community and get more involved with tennis. Contact Sue Peschke
